How SoftBillo started
I built SoftBillo for myself first.
SoftBillo did not begin as an idea to build another business software platform. It started with a problem I was experiencing myself.
As a founder, I was trying to manage different parts of my work across too many places — customers, projects, invoices, documents, ideas, business operations and the growing amount of admin that comes with building something.
I wanted one place where I could see what was happening across the business, stay organised and use AI to help me handle more of the repetitive work. So I started building it for myself.
Create the system I wished I already had.
A workspace where customers, money, bookings, projects, documents and business activity could actually work together — with an AI assistant that understood the context of the business instead of acting like a separate chatbot.
That became SoftBillo. But while building and using it, something became clear: my problem wasn’t unique.
Freelancers were dealing with the same admin. Consultants were switching between CRM, calendar, invoices and project tools. Small-business owners were keeping parts of their businesses in spreadsheets, WhatsApp, notebooks and several different apps.
Creators, tradespeople, coaches and professional service providers were all experiencing different versions of the same problem: running the business had become a job of its own.
That was when SoftBillo stopped being only something I was building for myself. It became something I believed could help other people run their businesses too.
Today, that idea is becoming the SoftBillo Business OS: one connected place for the work behind the business — with Vio AI helping you stay organised, understand what is happening and handle more of the routine admin.
